What features do our double hi-low beds have?
Double hi-low beds can raise up (using a handset) much higher than a regular bed, so that the person in the bed can be cared for at a level that is comfortable for the carer.
The same handset can be used to elevate the person’s legs or allow them to rest or sleep at an incline instead of flat.
Choose between one double mattress or two individual mattresses. Either way the bed will look like a standard double but can rise up high using a simple handset, elevate the head portion or the leg section.
When two mattresses are opted for, each mattress can be operated independently, ideal for when two people want to share the same bed but find different positions suitable for sleeping or relaxing.
What are the benefits of a double hi-low adjustable bed?
Opt for a double hi-low adjustable electric bed if you want a bigger bedspace for yourself or if you want to continue sleeping in the same bed as your partner.
A double hi-low adjustable bed means you can be given medication, turned over and cared for more easily as the bed raises up to level that is comfortable for the carer. As well as receiving better care, it’s easier for your family member or carer to work at a level that is suitable for them, reducing bending and easing back strain for example.
Being able to change position at the touch of a button, elevating your legs or resting your upper body at an incline, carries multiple health benefits such as improving circulation and mobility and reducing sleep conditions. Spending longer periods of time in bed increases the risk of pressure sores, so being able to change position by simple pressing a button is advantageous on this level too.
