The benefits of homecare & hospital beds

Our range of high-quality profiling beds are suitable for a whole host of requirements, from homecare situations to actual care homes. If you or a loved one require a bed that goes above and beyond in terms of how it can support you at home, a homecare bed from The Mobility Furniture Company will meet your needs.

There are many benefits of having a homecare bed or hospital bed in your home, particularly if health conditions have led to spending longer periods in bed. Primarily, these beds are created to give greater independence. If you have reduced mobility and you need some assistance, homecare and hospital beds can greatly improve the situation. People who use them may subsequently no longer need someone else to help them into and out of bed.

Homecare and hospital beds for home can recline and incline at the touch of a button to your desired position. This means you can easily alter your position if you’re experiencing stiffness or you need to increase circulation to a part of your body. Changing positions in this way also decreases the risk of pressure sores.

A homecare or hospital bed can also make a fundamental difference to the wellbeing of people who care for others. Neck, back and shoulder pain that is often exacerbated by assisting someone into and out of bed (and by helping them change position when they are in bed) can become a thing of the past.

Wide selection of homecare beds

Homecare beds from The Mobility Furniture Company come in different heights and have plenty of positions that can be achieved via a simple-to-operate remote control.

There are many options to choose from, depending on your level of need. For example, some homecare beds come with a rotational chair incorporated to help people who can stand but are unable to get into and out of the bed themselves.

Others are similar to typical adjustable beds but have the useful hi-low function to change their height from the floor. This allows people to adjust the height of the bed so they do not strain themselves getting into and out of the bed.

One size does not fit all when it comes to homecare and hospital beds. Our single beds can cater for up to 26 stone.

Double homecare beds allow each side to recline individually; weight capacity can extend to 21 stone per user.
